Heart of a Hobbit: 2021 Schedule, Pt. 2

Hello my Hobbit-hearted friends!

The second half of the year in LOTRO is coming together so I have a pretty good idea of what’s coming for the Heart of a Hobbit episodes (over on the LOTRO twitch channel – https://www.twitch.tv/lotrostream) for the second half of 2021. Here’s what I have in mind:

Thurs June 3 & 10: No events or festivals, so we’ll play Hobbit Birthday! I’ll be giving away LOTRO points and titles, so be sure to come by!

Thurs June 17, 24, and July 1: Midsummer Festival! Last year was the first time for this festival, so we will check it out and compare changes between last year and this year. We’ll have 3 full weeks to get to know the quest givers again, find our best and quickest paths, and check out all the things at the vendors. It’s in a special version of Minas Tirith, so even the lower leveled folks can join in.

Thurs July 8, 15, 22, and 29: There are currently no events on the LOTRO schedule. I’m hoping they’ll add either some encores or Hobnanigans (or both!) but if none of those are around, we’ll find some other fun things to do. I’ve enjoyed the Wildwood, and of course housing is always a favorite of mine. And there’s always the possibility of chicken runs!

Thurs August 5: I’ll be taking this week off as we move to our new (IRL) house! (It’s a Hobnanigans weekend, so go have some fun without me!)

Thurs August 12, 19, and 26: Farmer’s Faire! This is a fun one, with a lot of action at Bywater and the Party Tree in the Shire. Time to work on collecting the eggs and steal, er, pick some mushrooms. And we like it when the pigs judge the local farmers. 😉 Last year, they brought the Summer Festival in with the Farmer’s Faire, so we’ll get to do some other fun things like the keg-race, finding missing things, and relaxing with some fishing.

Thurs September 2 & 9: Another pair of non-festival, non-event weeks (at least for now), so we’ll take a look at any questions that have come up, and find other ways to get into mischief. It’s also possible that we’ll have some new areas to play in with Updates 30 and 31 happening this year, so we’ll see if any of those are available and catch our fancy.

Thurs September 16: Tale of the Shipwrecked Mariners! In the past, this has been a small event with a cute little storyline that wraps up quickly. Now that the Wildwood has opened nearby and there’s a port in Buckland as well, will we see more to this adventure?

Thurs September 23: Bilbo & Frodo’s Birthday! It’s time to honor some famous hobbits on (or near) their shared birthday. We’ll check in with Frodo in Rivendell who has an idea on how to celebrate his uncle’s birthday, which will lead us on a series of quests. It’s grand Hobbity fun!

Thurs September 30: Buried Treasure Hunt event! Some more time with those diggy, diggy dwarves. Maybe we’ll get all three of the mounts!

Thurs October 7: Hobnanigans is back! I’m also expecting we’ll have some new areas, quests, missions and so on from Updates 30 and 31, so this might be a good time to take a look or at least think about it.

Thurs October 14, 21, and 28: Harvest Festival! Time to get those costumes out and enjoy the spookyness that only the Hobbits can bring. We’ll race through the Haunted Burrow, check out Wistmead, and wish we had more mithril coins for all the neat costumes.

Also, October 21 will be the last day to observe Durin’s Day in the game, so we’ll find someone high level in our household to stand by the grey stone when the thrush knocks at the setting sun.

Thursday November 4, 11, 18, and 25: No events or festival currently on the LOTRO calendar, but it’s possible such a long stretch will see something added in. On the other hand, it’s a busy time of year for a lot of people, so it may stay LOTRO-event empty and we’ll be left to our own devices. I’m sure we’ll stay out of trouble… 😉

Thursday December 2: More Hobnanigans fun!

Thursday December 9, 16, 23, and 30: Yule Festival! We’ll get a full 4 weeks to spend in Winter-home and the surrounding Frostbluff. Another well done festival by LOTRO and we’ll enjoy every minute of it.

Lots of great things coming for the second half of 2021 in LOTRO! As always, let me know if you have any thoughts, questions or want me to go over how to do something. Thanks for coming along on the journey!

June 04, 2021 Update: Added Hobnanigans dates for August, October, and December!
